Under the name, ‘Scandalmongers’ and in association with Theatre Royal Margate, storytellers Emily Hennessey and Martin Gibbons (and various other collaborators!) created a series of outdoor storytelling walks. Often led by comedic tour guides, these storytelling walks encouraged audiences to see their surroundings and history through new eyes.
Described as “brilliantly bonkers” these performances reached thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds across Kent. Special Tall Tale Tours were commissioned by the Folkestone Triennial Festival and to celebrate the launch of the Turner Contemporary in Margate in 2011.
